Diamond Cancels 2024 Retailer Summit
After originally just postponing the event, Diamond Comic Distributors has now canceled its 2024 retailer summit in a move that may be permanent going forward. In their announcement, Diamond stated: “Our team is committed to finding alternative ways to engage and collaborate with all our retail partners, including seeing many of you next month at the upcoming ComicsPRO Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, and hosting our annual Retailer Appreciation Luncheon at Comic-Con International: San Diego in July.” It is speculated that this change is the result of Diamond losing five of their biggest clients, shrinking the amount of financial support available to put towards the event.
