Glenn O’Leary, owner of The Comic Book Palace YouTube channel and comic store, found himself going viral among the comics side of X/Twitter when a clip was taken from one of his recent videos. In it, O’Leary says “new writers don’t have the love of comics that the older writers had,” and goes on to discuss the era of forced self-inserts plaguing many titles today. This single clip managed to completely split comics X/Twitter over the topic, with many pros and fans agreeing while others attacked the man and his business. New York Times bestselling comic author Mark Millar reached out to discuss the topic with O’Leary, which was live streamed on their YouTube channels.
