SpongeBob Comics #1

SpongeBob SquarePants is a cultural icon that has been a part of pop culture for over 25 years. In 2011, the first comic book featuring SpongeBob was released, and over the last 14 years, it has steadily increased in value year over year. This comic, as of right now, shows no signs of stopping its value increase, due to several factors: the book had a low print run when it was first printed, there are few pristine copies, and a new generation is continuously being introduced to SpongeBob, meaning there will always be a demand for this book.

Comics Illustrated Taylor Swift Big Game Cosplay Limited to 50

Anything Taylor Swift is incredibly hot right now, especially in comics. Yet none of those comics that have come out have been NSFW. However, Comics Illustrated did a limited 50 NSFW Taylor Swift magazine cover featuring Taylor sporting her man’s numbers. With the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl and Taylor Swift continuing her tour, this book is going to be a tough and expensive book to find as they don’t come up for sale very often.

Invincible Iron Man #7 & #9

Invincible Iron Man Vol 2 issue 7 and Invincible Iron Man Vol 2 issue 9 are the first cameo appearance and first full appearance of Riri Williams in the Marvel Universe. Disney has announced that an Ironheart series, focusing on Riri Williams, will be streaming on Disney+ sometime in 2024. With the character getting her own show, these two comics are naturally going to increase in value as collectors try to get a copy before, during, and after the show airs. Furthermore, depending on the success of the show, this may open other opportunities for the character to appear in other parts of the Marvel Universe, which will only increase these comics’ value.

Penthouse Comics #2 Leirix Topless Virgin Variant Limited to 300

Penthouse Comics Issue 2 Leirix Topless Virgin Variant Limited to 300 is a perfect quick-flip comic, as it has the five attributes needed to make this happen: a limited print run (300 in this case), exclusivity (to the comic shop KRS), it being topless, having rockstar cover artist Leirix, and selling out in 15 minutes or less. When all five of those attributes are combined, the book sells at a higher premium and tends to move fast, thus allowing an investor to get in and out of a trade quickly.
