On August 8th history was made as the production of LCS was greenlit thanks to the support of over 100 backers. I’ve had my eye on this project for months and am, borderline, obsessed with the idea of Fallout-esque survivors combing the post apocalyptic wastelands to find and collect whatever comic books they can scavenge. It just feels like a marriage that makes sense. I honestly have not had the chance to read LCS yet (only because I didn’t ask, I’m sure Part-time Comix would’ve let me but I owe Jon money and favors so I’m gonna buy it).

For the people in the back, Part-Time Comix was founded in 2019 after Jon Westhoff left King and Bone press as an outlet to produce and distribute independent comic books. Westhoff has proven himself a capable publisher who knows a good idea when it comes. The previous projects put out by Part-Time Comix are: ‘Drumsticks of Doom’ the story of a band set in an alternative universe where Black Sabbath was the biggest band of the 60’s and 70’s as opposed to the Beatles… oh and there’re demons… did I mention the demons? As well as ‘Child Possession Services’ a series about a social worker who also happens to be capable of exorcising literal demons from people and of course has to exercise this ability while performing her regular day job…. Sometimes the kid is the problem I guess.

Part-time Comix seems to just be continuously knocking it out of the park with successful launch after successful launch and pulling thousands of dollars to fund projects through kickstarter. They are definitely worth keeping on your radar and you can find any of their previous books on their store here: https://parttimecomix.storenvy.com/
