Tremendicon 2024 was held in Springfield, Missouri this past weekend (May 31-June 2, 2024). This marked the convention’s third year, and the non-profit, creator-focused convention offered something for everyone, including a tabletop gaming room, panels and workshops, an all-ages scavenger hunt of sorts (“Tremendiquest”), a variety of unique vendors, and cosplayers. Guests included many Southwest Missouri comic creators, including New York Times bestselling writer, Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, The Sixth Gun). Saturday night saw a performance from horror parody troupe, the Slice Girls. The convention was to raise awareness and increase participation for the Ozarks Food Harvest and for the Danger Initiative, a relatively young organization to help those with developmental delays to have a safe and enjoyable convention experience.
